At the beginning of 2025, Team 18 announced a landmark partnership with General Motors, securing the homologation team role from 2026 onward. With Toyota set to join the grid, the championship was preparing for a three-manufacturer battle, placing a renewed emphasis on aerodynamic development. This included critical testing in the United States, where the Supra was evaluated against the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro to ensure parity across the field.
That intensive development phase was brought into focus when Team 18 and Chevrolet Racing unveiled a striking gunmetal grey Camaro Supercar. The subdued finish was deliberately chosen as the preferred aero-testing colour, allowing for clearer visual analysis and reinforcing the serious intent behind the program.
Despite its understated purpose, the livery was nothing short of breathtaking. Layered shades of grey, sharp linework, and the integration of Team 18 and Chevrolet Racing branding combined with flowing stripes to create a sleek, stealth-like Supercar - one that seemed destined to be replicated in scale model form from the moment it was revealed.
